To prepare a quote, gather your pet’s name, species, breed, sex, date of birth or approximate age, ZIP code, and any relevant medical history requested by the carrier. Existing or prior coverage may also be relevant.
Coverage can differ in areas such as accident-only versus accident-and-illness protection, deductibles, reimbursement percentages, annual limits, waiting periods and exclusions. A lower premium is not automatically the same as broader protection.
Pre-existing conditions and other underwriting rules are carrier-specific. The intake is intended to collect accurate information for a review, not to promise that a particular condition, treatment or pet will be covered.
